The main components of FLUIMAC diaphragm pumps (like most on the market) are the following:
Housing with integrated input and output, which can be located in different places;
Cameras - there are the diaphragms and the axis that drives them, as well as the ball valves;
Air distribution mechanism
The action of a pneumatic diaphragm pump can be explained as follows:
When compressed air is fed to the distributor, it directs it to one of the two air chambers located inside the membranes. In this chamber, the air presses the membrane and it "blows". This causes pressure to build upon the other side of the diaphragm and push the fluid out there. The pair of ball valves simultaneously closes the inlet of the fluid and opens the path to the pump outlet. This is how the pump pumps.
What is happening at the same time on the other side of the pump? As the pair of membranes are mounted on one axis, when the membrane is blown where the air has flowed in and its outward movement, the other membrane is retracted inwards. This results in a pressure drop in the fluid chamber on its outside, which in turn produces suction force. The valve pair there opens the suction inlet, the fluid fills the chamber but stays there as the other sphere closes the path to the pump outlet. And she waits for the moment when the distributor mechanism transfers the airflow to her chamber and pushes it out, repeating the pumping that had previously happened with the other diaphragm. Or, generally speaking, while one membrane is pumping fluid, the other membrane is sucking. With the transfer of air, the membranes change their action.
And because the pumped fluid has no contact with any parts other than valves and diaphragms, this makes this type of pump very reliable and safe against unwanted leakage. The simplified and robust pump structure also contributes to this.
Of course, we have something to offer as an added value for FLUIMAC products, which sets us apart from other manufacturers:
100% test: a wet test has been performed on each FLUIMAC diaphragm pump exiting the plant;
Robust construction with bolted connections;
A specially designed air mechanism that makes the pump quieter than its competitors also prevents freezing, no need for oiling;
Deep "suction": in case of dry suction - 6 meters; self-suction at full suction - 9,8 meters;
Safe operation at zero flow with the valve completely closed at the outlet of the pump;
And more, and more… Trust us and you will find them!
Therefore, you can safely trust FLUIMAC pumps with even the most responsible fluid technology
